Further, it will explain how leadership behavior will influence the motivation of individuals in organizations. Organization Behavior Understanding, estimating and supervising the behavior of human individually or in a group in the organization is known as Organizational Behavior (Mullins. 2004). While operating in an organization, it is important to recognize behaviors of others and let others recognize our behavior. We should have a proper understanding of the environment and goals that to be achieved for maintaining working environment healthy. Organizational behavior leads to organizational development as it helps in improving the process of organization and increase the interaction, communication between the managers and employees. Besides this, it also helps in increasing the production rate by improving the quality of product and services. It is recognized that the efficiency of the managers and leaders of the organization and business success is dependent on organizational behavior i.e. behavior and attitudes of consumers and employees (MacDonald, 2017). Organizational behavior advises that employees should be motivated regularly to give their best in their work and that results in increasing organizational efficiency. Leadership The process in which an individual inspire an individual or group of people for achieving the goals of the organization is known as Leadership. Great Man Theory In the mid of 19th century, the theory of Great Man was evolved. According to his theory characteristics of leadership are inherent. That shows that great leaders are not made they are born. This theory emphasizes on those leaders who are meant to become a leader by birth. Besides this, the faith was that when leaders face the appropriate situation then only they rise and show their skills of leadership (Leadership Central. 2016). Thomas Carlyle was the person due to whom this theory became popular. Just like this, the Great Man theory was encouraged by the study of effective heroes. Motivation The reason behind the good performance or improved performance is Motivation. The desire to attain goals or a definite level of performance, leading to the behavior of goal-directed is known as Motivation. When we mention about someone that he/she is being motivated it means that person is working hard to achieve a specific task. Need-Based Theories of Motivation In the twentieth century, Abraham Maslow was a well-known psychologist. His theory of needs was very useful and helpful to managers and students. This theory is based on a simple idea: The needs of a human are hierarchically ranked. There are some basic common needs of all human beings and if they are not present than anything else does not matter. As basic needs get satisfied then the person starts moving towards satisfying other needs of the higher order. On the other hand, if the need of lower level is satisfied then it does not work as a motivator. The basic human needs are physiological needs, safety needs, social needs, esteem needs and self-actualization need (Saylor. 2017). If these needs are not satisfied then the search of these needs suppress the other needs. Safety needs arise when we fulfill our physiological needs. When we feel secured from pain, danger or other uncertainties, then the next level arises is social needs. These needs are about our bond and attachment with another person. Further, when social needs are satisfied then it arises esteem needs. Esteem needs are the wish of a person to be respected by one's colleagues, it makes them feel important and appreciated. Finally, the highest level of need is of self-actualization, at this level all the goals of individual are fulfilled and receive a recognition or designation. Influence of Leadership behavior on Employees motivation Employees are the one on which the success of the organization depends due to their commitment, practice, hard work, determination and engagement. Therefore, motivation is a vital subject because capabilities of leadership involve the skill to motivate employees as it is a very important job or duty. Leadership initiates with the primary effort made to appoint a new employee; continues through the whole introduction procedure, and carry on every day till the employee leaves the organization. Manager/leader are the ones who refine this process by motivating employees and provide the highpoints of the leadership importance once again (Naile and Selesho, 2014). Conclusion The report has discussed about the concept of Organization Behavior, Organization Development, and Organization efficiency. In the conclusion, it can be said that organizational behavior leads to the organizational development because it helps in improving the process or the organization and increasing the interaction between the managers and employees. Organizational behavior also emphasizes on motivating the employees which result in increasing the efficiency of the organization. If employees will be motivated properly than it will result in increasing the organization efficiency, will develop a positive behavior in the organization.
